Profile
Matheus Ferreira, originally from Brazil, is a Berlin-based composer, sound designer, and multi-instrumentalist. His music stems from a fusion of industrial rock and alternative influences and later discovery of drone, ambient, and modern composition. Matheus combines acoustic and electronic instruments, and field recordings manipulated to create a singular and raw listening experience, disrupting traditional soundscapes.
Ferreira’s compositions for film began through his work with Sonia Kharitoniouk, scoring the production “A Nook of One’s Bliss” (2024), a Belarussian drama short film. He has also contributed to Daniel Pereira’s drama short “Liminal Nights” (2024), and to George Jenkins art-house action film “Electric Storm”(2025). In addition to his film work, Ferreira composed for the VR game experience “Luminal” (2025) by Chaery Yoon, further expanding his practice into immersive and interactive media.
