Anuka Kipshidze (ანუკა ყიფშიძე) is a producer, sound designer, multi-instrumentalist, and musician from Tbilisi, Georgia.

Coming from a musical family, she was introduced to music at an early age. Her grandmother and mother were both piano teachers, while her father, a multi-instrumentalist, played a key role in shaping her musical taste. At just six years old, Anuka began playing the piano and performing on stage, developing a deep connection with live music.

After completing music school, Anuka expanded her instrumental skills, teaching herself to play the guitar and later the bass. This led her back to live performances, first through jam sessions and then as a bassist for the Georgian indie band “კოლექტივი” (Koleqtivi). With the band, she performed at Tbilisi Open Air and Rokva Festival, gaining recognition in the local music scene.

Over time, Anuka collaborated with various artists, working as a session bassist for numerous projects. However, her passion for creating her own music never faded. In 2023, she took a major step forward when she and fellow musician Anamaria Burduli (Anman) were selected as one of the winners of NewComers, leading to another performance at Tbilisi Open Air. This marked a turning point, motivating her to bring her own compositions into the spotlight.

In 2023, Anuka began working on her debut album, which was officially released on April 4, 2024. The album features eight tracks, blending electronic, alternative, rock, and rap genres, with a distinctive presence of 8-bit synth sounds, influenced by retro video games. The album captures Anuka’s chaotic and emotional journey, with tracks that combine anger, energy, and speed alongside moments of melancholy and discreetness.

The sound is built on distorted guitars, synths, light and heavy instruments, and powerful sonic blasts, offering a deeply introspective musical experience. The track titles are clever wordplay with double meanings, giving them multiple layers of interpretation.

Following the album’s release, Anuka performed live shows and began working on expanding the interactive element of her performances, focusing on more engaging lyrics and connection with her audience.

She continues to release new music regularly, with the aim of establishing a distinctive sonic identity that stands out in the music world. Her unique sound is poised to leave a lasting impression, bringing fresh perspectives to the genres she explores.
